3-D Modeling Projects - Final Project
Droideka (Destroyer Droid) - Modeled the Droideka from the Star Wars movies as my final project. [View Full Image]. Model was rendered using mental ray with a mia material glass shader using physical spotlights. Used the rounded corners mental ray texture to smooth out hard edges. More pictures of the droid with a non-glass shader are [Available Here].

3-D Modeling Projects - P51 Mustang Fighter
Machine Project - Modeled the P51 Mustang American WWII Fighter. Used Maya for the model and textured using ZBrush. I created two textures so that there could be two different planes for the dog fight sequence I rendered for this project (The second texture is actually the same model but with the paint of the Supermarine Spitfire). The clip can be found in the [Special Effects] section of the website. Used a mia material for the cockpit glass and rendered the image using mental ray and physical spotlights. More details about the Mustang can be [Found Here].
3-D Modeling Projects - Triceratops
Character Project - Modeled a triceratops for the character project for 3D-Modeling. The basic mesh was done in Maya and then exported to Zbrush where the muscle and bump detail was applied. The final model was rendered with a bump map from Zbrush level 5 to level 3 and a displacement map from level 3 to level 1. For the horns, I applied a procedural shader and bump map using Maya shaders. The texture was applied using Zbrush, and then imported back into Maya for the rigging and animation work. The animated character can be found in the [Special Effects] section of the site. To see more pictures of the triceratops, [Click Here]

3-D Modeling Projects - Self Portrait
Self Portrait Project - Completed a self portrait project for 3D-Modeling class. Modeled the head in Maya and textured using ZBrush. Made final touch ups to the texture in Photoshop for final model. For a look at the steps I took to create the self portrait, [Click Here].

3-D Modeling Projects - 5 Objects
5 Objects - For our first project we had to model 5 different objects to get a feel for Maya. I used some textures to get the buttons on the scroll wheel of the IPOD and the wood for the chair. For lighting I used a spotlight to cast the shadows and a point light to soften and brighten the shadow edges. I also did some work with a glass shader and applied it to the table and chair shown below.
